Thursday morning - we visited everyone at mommy's office

Thursday - we went to the playground at the Nashville Zoo. He loved it!!!

Thursday afternoon nap - Mihretu gets ready for sleeping. So cute!!!

Adoption Timeline

11/1/12 Arrived home in the US with my son!!!
10/28/12 Gotcha day - met M's grandma in the morning and picked him up in the afternoon - for good!!!
10/26/12 Got on a plane to go get my son!!!
10/23/12 Birth relative interview - found out the same day that I was cleared for pickup!!!!
10/15/12 Submitted for Embassy
9/5/12 Mihretu's medical exam happened. Now we are waiting on the report so we can be submitted to Embassy!
8/31/12 Mihretu's passport is here! 1 more step before Embassy - his medical exam next week!
8/28/12 MOWA approval letter received - 1 step closer!
8/25/12 Got a letter in the mail from Show Hope. I am receiving a grant which means I'm pretty much fully funded!!!
8/23/12 Got Mihretu's birth certificate!!!
8/10/12 After being back in the states since Wed, I get the word that I have officially passed court and I'm legally Mihretu's momma!
8/6/12 The judge agrees and does my parental interview for court while I'm in Ethiopia!
8/1/12 See my boy for the first time in a year!!! Got to spend 7 days with him. He loves to snuggle and did not want to be separated from mom. He was already calling me mommy by the end of the first day. A true God thing!
7/25/12 Got a text at 3am while I'm in Uganda telling me my case has been submitted for court!
7/20/12 Got word an hour before my flight left for my Uganda/Ethiopia trip that my son's paperwork is finally done and he's been moved to my agencies care center!!
5/31/12 Turned in adoption grant application - praying I get a grant!
3/23/12 Attended Created 4 Care Adoption conference
1/14/12 - fingerprinting I-600 approval received, scanned and emailed to my agency
1/10/12 Dossier is finished & mailed it to my agency
12/1/11 Fingerprinting appointment
11/12/11 Adoption Fundraiser concert
10/17/11 Home Study Approved by my adoption agency
10/13/11 Fundraiser Concert announced for Nov 12
10/1/11 Yard Sale Fundraiser
9/26/11 Give home study agency my I600 A form along with and wait for fingerprinting appointment to arrive in the mail
9/26/11 Final home study appointment - the home visit!!!

•8/18/11 Application, Contract and fees have been paid to adoption agency
•8/16/11 First Home Study Appointment
•8/2/11 After doors closing on one agency, found an agency that would work with me
•7/28/11 Day after I got home - started looking into adopting him
•7/24/11 Fell in love with a 2 year old little boy in Africa
